Who is Ricky Parker?

My name is Richard F. Parker, Jr., but I am better known as Ricky Parker. I am a native of Largo, MD that was born in Washington, DC on December 18, 1985. I am an alumnus of Virginia Union University where I received a B.S. in Marketing. I am currently the General Manager of Studio 43. Studio 43 is a boutique record label founded by industry veteran Kenny Burns when he first signed local artist Wale. That relationship, along with the idea to fuse Go-Go and Hip-hop using classics by The Backyard Band and legendary Northeast Groovers, has brought national attention to the Washington DC area. Studio 43 is broadening the sound of the nations capital with the addition of international hip-hop super star, XO. Aside from my work in the music industry I am a very influential tastemaker that has created numerous lifestyle events in the Washington, DC area featuring celebrities and athletes such as Neyo, Raheem Devaughn, Jadakiss, Wood Harris, Kevin Durant, Floyd Mayweather and Allen Iverson.
